Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday!! Not that I don't enjoy Christmas, but the memories that I have of Thanksgiving dinner at my Gram's house are pretty special. She was an amazing woman in that she could throw a multi-course dinner or lunch together for unexpected company without getting flustered... So, that made Thanksgiving no big deal to her and with her sister working at a local Children's Home the attendance could top 40 as any child not having anywhere to go, came to Grams. Tables and chairs in every downstairs room in her house, what fun and what memories!! I tried to follow in her footsteps making sure that anyone who found themselves alone at Thanksgiving had an invitation to our house....we never had more than 22, which in our house was a "full house", but we always seemed to have a great time and it always made me think of Gram.....
This little grouping of turkeys working their way up our driveway seemed to be the perfect picture for a Thanksgiving greeting card. For the relatives that may not be able to attend (and have a good sense of humor) you can choose the altered sentiment of "The Turkeys are Coming"! Each of my photos are available as a print, just contact me with any questions.
